This two-day policy event is dedicated to fortifying the cybersecurity resilience of Serbia’s critical sectors by delving into comprehensive risk management models, legal frameworks, and practical methodologies. The event will bring together experts and stakeholders to explore the robust frameworks provided by the European Union, Member States and Serbia focusing on how these can be adapted to enhance Serbia’s cybersecurity posture. A key component of the event will be to get insights on the integration process of the NIS2 Directive into national laws, with lessons drawn from successful implementations and case studies.
Participants will engage in practical sessions designed to equip them with the skills needed to identify and prioritize risks to critical entities. Through practical risk assessment exercises and a simulated ransomware incident management exercise, attendees will gain hands-on experience in developing effective protection strategies and managing cybersecurity risks. These sessions aim to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world application, ensuring that participants leave with actionable insights and strategies.
The event will culminate in a collaborative effort to develop policy recommendations that align with regulatory requirements and practices. These recommendations will serve as a roadmap for policymakers, guiding future initiatives to safeguard critical sectors against evolving cyber threats.
The event is organized under the Western Balkans Cybersecurity Capacity Building (‘Cyber Balkans’) project funded by the European Union.
