At this training, the participants will learn to appreciate the tools and strategies for mitigating hostile information influence activities accompanying cyber attacks, learn to implement core elements of crisis communication and become aware of the value of information environment analysis in resilience building. The training will consist of theoretical and practical segment, allowing participants to test their skills in real time on a closed simulated information environment platform by engaging with various audiences, including regular citizens, media and hostile actors. Training will be provided by instructors with extensive experience in strategic communications.
Target audience
This training is designed for professionals who:
- Are involved in cybersecurity related public and internal communication;
- Design and implement long term and short them cybersecurity communication planning;
- Could be tasked to serve as spokespeople in cases of cybersecurity related public crisis;
- Could be in charge of national, regional and international cooperation in terms of communications planning and delivery.
Training Output
- Draft cybersecurity crisis communications plan, including proposals for distribution of responsibilities, indicators for crisis communications decision making, escalation and mitigation factors.
- Draft Strategic Communications framework on cybersecurity, including main themes, actors, narratives, coordination process.
The event is organized under the Cybersecurity Rapid Response for Albania, Montenegro, North Macedonia 2.0 project funded by the European Union.
