Background and aim
Having in mind the importance of an efficient and uninhibited information flow between constituents and CSIRTs, the build-up of trust-based cybersecurity ecosystem is one of the key prerequisites for effective CSIRT functioning. The two-day workshop will offer participants, members of CSIRT teams from the Western Balkans, a chance for direct insight into relevant Estonian and Latvian experiences, a forum for regional good practice exchange, and an opportunity to discuss some of their teams’ key current and future challenges. Emphasis will be made on the challenges deriving from the implementation of EU NIS 2 Directive.
Trainers and work methodology
The workshop will be facilitated by Ms. Baiba Kaskina, General Manager of the national Latvian CERT (CERT.LV), Mr. Tõnu Tammer, senior cybersecurity expert and former head of Estonian CERT, and Mr. Paavo Kuiv, senior expert of Estonian national cybersecurity authority, RIA. Following the facilitators’ introduction, the participants will have an opportunity to engage in direct discussion on specific issues relevant to their particular situations. Some of the sessions will involve small group activities that will help the participants pay attention to peculiar issues and problems relevant to the session topic.
